I picked up my first camera at fifteen, an old film SLR my grandfather left in a shoebox in the garage. Half the photos came out overexposed, but the ones that didn’t taught me to slow down and actually look at things. That’s really where it started.
Since then, photography has taken me up into the mountains before sunrise, into strangers’ living rooms for portrait sessions, and to more than a few weddings where I spent the reception chasing the light instead of the cake. I love landscapes for their patience and portraits for their honesty, and I’ve never stopped being surprised by the small, unposed moments in between.
These days I shoot because I can’t imagine not shooting. My goal with every session is simple: to make images that still feel true when you look back at them years from now.
